Cary Orthopaedic is looking for a patient services and call center coordinator for a busy Orthopaedic office to answer calls, make patient appointments, handle triage messages as well as various other duties

Responsibilities:

  • Manage large amounts of inbound calls in a timely manner
  • Schedule patient appointments for multiple locations
  • Keep records of all conversations in our call center
  • Handle triage voicemail messages
  • Reschedule patient appointments due to a change in the doctors schedule 

Requirements: 

  • Previous experience in a customer support role helpful
  • Strong phone and verbal skills
  • Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities and manage time effectively
  • Understanding of medical insurance

We are an orthopaedic surgery practice seeking to find a motivated, energetic, detail orientated individual to be apart of our coding and charge entry team

Job summary:

  • Receive and review patient charts and documentation for accuracy
  • Ensure all codes are current and active
  • Report missing or incomplete documentation
  • Meet daily coding production goals
  • Update and maintain document lists
  • Perform accurate charge data entry
  • Ensure proper coding on provider documentation
  • Serve as a resource regarding insurance resolutions and coding questions
  • Follow coding guidelines, and legal requirements to ensure compliance with all standard coding rules as well as federal and state regulations
  • Perform additional duties assigned by director of revenue, as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • AAPC Certified Minimum 1 year
  • Recent medical charge entry / coding experience

We are an Orthopedic practice in Morrisville, and we are looking for a new member to join our amazing front/back desk team! Candidates for this position will need to have the following qualifications and be willing to perform the following duties. We are willing to train, but prefer some medical office experience. All potential candidates must also be willing to travel to our satellite locations to fill in from time to time or when requested by COSM management.

Job summary:

Front – Greet patients/visitors, checkin patients, collect demographic and insurance information, verify benefits, enter all information into our two EMR systems, etc.

Back – Check out patient, collect copays, deductibles/co insurances, process referrals, schedule MRI/CT Scans, and schedule/change patient appointments etc

Hours: MondayFriday from 8:005:00 w1 hour lunch break, with regular late night schedule as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and maintaining cleanliness of clinic each day 
  • Escorting patients to and from exam rooms 
  • Taking all patient vitals 
  • Entering patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) system 
  • Drawing up injections 
  • Assisting physician with prescriptions 
  • Sending out referrals 
  • Brace fitting 
  • Ordering imaging 
  • Assist with patient triage calls 
  • Obtain clearances/authorizations 
  • Patient/physician scheduling 
  • Assist with inoffice procedures/recover
  • Assist other staff in clinic during down time 
  • Fill in on other clinics to provide coverage

Requirements:

  • Orthopaedic/spine experience preferred
  • 2+ years medical office experience working on a clinic floor 
  • Must be computer literate with experience in EMR software 
  • Work independently 
  • Must be quick and efficient 
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills 
  • Able to stay calm and professional under pressure 
  • Ability to handle stressful situations 
  • Ability to work as a team and establish healthy relationships with other staff and providers 
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. and assist patients on/off exam tables. Walk with no assistance
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to any of our clinical sites throughout the week (Holly Springs, Cary, Morrisville, Clayton
  • Must be able to stay past business hours as needed for patient care

Education: Certified/Registered Medical Assisting degree required. If no CMA/RMA degree, 3+ years working in with direct patient care in orthopedics or spine center
